Black Rose Quartz carries the same metaphysical properties of its distant cousin but has a beautiful dark grey tint. It occurs when the Earth heats up and irradiates the pink hued Quartz turning it a deep umber-black tone. Black Rose Quartz is a very rare variety of Rose Quartz that the Indoeuropeans considered it to be the sacred crystal of Druids. Early depictions of this precious crystal show that the people of today’s Scotland, Ireland, and Wales believed that Black Rose Quartz could connect humans to Gods, Ascended Masters, and noble ancestors of the past.
