We are born with a clean slate, with no defining moments or circumstances which have molded us because we are fresh and beginning to learn about the world. We have no thoughts about politics or religious beliefs, we are simply a blank page. It is our environment and people we connect with who shape our thoughts through repeated or individual interactions. By the time we get to adulthood, we are incredibly unique combinations of all the people we have had encounters with over our lifetime.
We encounter and subconsciously filter the types of characteristics we don't feel are desirable but also take on the traits that we do feel are desirable. This speaks not just to the type of person we want others to see us as… but also to how we feel internally about ourselves, including our morals and values.
Spirit asks us to reflect on the person we are, both projected in society and behind closed doors. Have you examined your traits and do they support the person you envision yourself to be? Is that person authentically you?
