YOU DESERVE TO BE SEEN (Inner Child Oracle Cards)
Within each of us, no matter how deep it may reside, is someone who desperately longs to be seen and cherished for who they are. This is a normal desire that is crucial to our well-being and the embodiment of our true self. It is not selfish, nor is it anything to be ashamed of. The gift of being seen is something that was meant to be given to us as children by a trusted caregiver, but sometimes they were unable to do so. This can be for a variety of reasons and even if the caregiver did love us, they might not have been able to truly see us as we are. In truth, it can be easier to see a person through our own lens instead of letting that person show us a new view of the world. If you feel there are parts of you that would have benefited from being seen, now is the time to do so. In the same way that it is healing for another to see us, it can be just as beneficial for us to see ourselves.
Try to think of at least one thing you are very good at, but that you have not allowed yourself to claim as yours. In your mind, craft this into a statement like: "I am excellent at ___." Now say this outlook to yourself a few times to affirm.
You are most powerful and effective when you are genuine and authentic with yourself and others. If you pretend to feel, act or be something other than yourself, you lose awareness of your feelings which are a source of important guidance. The answer to the question you have been asking is “Be yourself.” Behave, speak and even dress as you normally would; and do not worry about what others may think. By being your true self, you give others the opportunity to love the real you.
