Pō and Ao respectively symbolize night and day, activity and repose, sleep and wakefulness.
Pō is the place of ininite dark formlessness, a source of existence. Messages from Pō may appear as dreams or nightmares. Sometimes messages from Pō manifest in recurring thoughts or memories, pleasant and unpleasant. At other times, they may show up in the ways you express yourself. Have you been saying things you did not think you meant to say? Have you been accident-prone recently? Have you been down lately? These may be signs that tell you to pay attention to the wisdom that emerges from the darkness of Pō. You can not ignore messages from Pō. They have ways of breaking up, whether you want to acknowledge them or not... look to the source. Return to the source by exploring the deep darkness of the unconscious. Begin your journey through the realm of observing your thoughts and dreams and ask yourself the difficult questions. What do you really want? Is there anything that you've been denying? If you can not answer these questions, it may be useful to start writing down your dreams, thoughts, and hopes. Explore the darkness so you may get in touch with the source of your problems as well as their solutions.
Ao is the time of activity and consciousness. Light emerges from the darkness. Pay close attention to the things in your daily life. How do you organize your life? What is your daily routine? What discipline do you practice? Make sure that you are present and prevent your behaviors from becoming so habitual that you stop feeling and thinking. Make sure that you're moving through your life consciously and not just by habit. Become more conscious of your desires to do whatever it is that you've stopped yourself from doing.
