5 Minute Awareness Meditation

I get it! Life is hectic and we just don't always have enough time to stop, check in with ourself, and tune in to our own frequency. This video has been created as an easy 5 minute tool for your self-care... and for you to give yourself a little of that TLC that you throw around like confetti for everyone else.


Every time we meditate, we are training in awareness. But what does “awareness” actually mean? Awareness is a space where we merely observe how the mind behaves, and where we experience the present moment... without thinking, without distraction. We meditate to develop a stable awareness over time, to the extent that we are not so easily caught up in, or thrown by, thoughts and emotions.


So sit back and relax! Pay attention to your breath, bodily vibrations, thoughts, and emotions. Check in and see how you feel. If a thought comes up you can observe it, in a detached manner without judgement, and then blow it away like you're making a wish with a dandelion. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to do this. Just close your eyes, breathe, and see what comes up for you.
